BORACAY ESCAPADES!!

BORACAY! Globally acknowledged as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. My 2 days stay in this island was entirely an awesome experience. A 3.5km stretch of powderly soft sand of White Beach is the Boracay Premiere Beach. Boracay...I can get enough of you. I shall be back! I Promise!
Read our Boracay Adventure....
GETTING THERE...(my first time in Ferry)
Nov 26 Friday Manila Pier 8 MBRS Virgin Mary. This is the vessel we ride on going to Boracay. This was my first time in ferry. The ship departed the port at exactly 5:00pm. And our overnight 12 hours travel began.
yAP 12hours in the middle of the sea. But trust me on this if you have no problem with a long boat trip, i would suggest it for you. Virgin Mary is actually a big ship and has good accomodations. It has a regular trip every Wednesdays and Fridays and departs at 5pm. You can really save a lot of money compare with the airline rates. And if you are a sea person you'll definitely love watching Boracay as the ship approaching it.
After we put our laugages in our suite room. Everyone did'nt waste time to stroll the whole ship. Seems i am not the only first timer on board:-) Nice ship, great crew, clean diners and most of all clean comfort rooms

After our dinner we decided to kill time on the roof deck before go to sleep. It was so cold but many were there to gaze the beautiful sky that night. We were there with few bottles of beer until i and Dyo got sleepy.

WE'RE ON THE WAY!
We arrived at Caticlan Port past 7:00am. The sky is perfectly blue. It is such a perfect day. I sat quitely in my corner with a dreamy smile. My heart gave a jolt of excitement when i saw the Paradise-like Island of BORACAY as they told. Another 15minutes of boatride
get us directly to the beach. It was high tide and boatmen have to carry us to the shore. Literally carry us for only five pesos:-)). Nyayy...five pesos lang ang bigat ko hehe. What is good being new to the place is that i can look forward to the experience with a child-like anticipation. There is just something so magical when you are a Boracay "virgin" you look at things with so much awe and beauty. That is what i felt from the time my feet hugged the pwdery sand of famous Boracay White Beach.

A shots from the roof deck of the ship. Approaching Boracay Island. I really like the cold wind and warm morning sunlight upthere.

1ST DAY
We settled our things in our respective rooms. We are hungry, but more excited to start exploring the island. We had our lunch to this one restaurant. The food were served right there front of the beach. The food were superb and the service was excellent. After a hearty lunch we went for a stroll around the area of station 2. Found a tatto booth/vendor and we decided to get one:-)

Tattoed for the first time. Look at that butterfly landed on my shoulder. hehe:-) Of course i won't get a permanent, that's only henna. I've been told that it will last for 3 weeks. Hmmm..matagal siya pero go pa rin ako, it is in the hidden part of my body anyway. Why Butterfly? I wanted that ethnic design of sun but my husband picked that design:-(

Don't like it either. Stop now allanchu!!!fine dami nito sa alibangbang. Look at your Dolphin. What happened? it became a dilis hahaha!! Ronnel (my bro) also got one in the arm, a dragon. Dyo was a chain anklet. Each design costs only P100.00 pesos. This shot was while we were having fruit shake along beachfront, waiting for the sunset.

This was shot while we are preparing for our Banana Ride. Look at that COCONUT TREE behind us. That is one of the Landmarks of Boracay Island. Another one is the infamous WILLYS' ROCK. Bad thing we did not get a shot from there. Though we had captured it in video when we do the boating. Willy's Rock is situated in swallow water near Boat Station 1. It is a
castle-like volcanic formation. As have been told this rock facing the beach has stairs leading to a chapel at the top which contains a statue of Virgin Mary. Willy's Rock is the most photographed landmark of Boracay. See.. that was really a bad thing right? When i come back, you will be the first one i'll run to. :-))

BANANA BOAT RIDE!!! Wow! what a ride. Everybody had so much fun with this ride. This was our first water activity on our fisrt day. What is P1,500 for a 30minutes of so much fun.
I still feel the excitement we felt in there. Loved it when
we bumped on that waves that made us all screaming to death.*lol* The more intensed part was when they made the Bananaboat rolled over. As intsructed we all let go. Waaahh sobra sakit ng pisngi ko, felt like i was slapped. My neck, thought i lose my head on that.hahaha! But see the picture,do i seems hurt? Smile parin of course.:-))

THE INFAMOUS SUNSET OF BORACAY. We wait for the sunset while we are having our fruitshake after that wild Banana Boat Ride. How beautiful it is, the sunset started to conquer the horizon. Where the sky and sea joins, the sky bursts of wonderful color. It starts to fade into purple and midnight blue. Night starts to enfold and stars starts to appear like diamond on mignight blue velvet. Some boats in a distance have little lights making them seem like fallen stars twinkling on the ocean. A few restaurants have a special set up of a romantic dinner by the shore with candles and torches. It would have been a perfect opportunity to propose or have a dinner with your love one. I am romantically possesed this time haha! yAY!

We spent our night in bar and billiards. This pics was shot right in the bar. Nightout in Bora is superb. If you want to see people of all sizes and shapes, different natioanlities, machos and sexys, pretty faces and not so pretty this is the place to be. After several games and few bottles of beer. Our first day in Bora was done.
After we had our dinner. I recognized that most of the restaurants here are owned by forigners and offer all sorts of cuisine. The night is young, we've decided to check out the bar scenes. It's amazing how a island so small can offer everything. From soveiner shops, internet cafe, atm booths, photo developing shops, and diving schools.
2ND DAY

A peaceful shot of White Beach at 6:00am. This view stretches the whole 3.5km of the infamous powderly white sand of BORA!
I waked up early that day. I wanted to witness the morning in this island. Peaceful, cold breeze, pumpboats, and foreigners having their morning walk. Sad thing was the sun won't rise as i expected that day. It was windy and the sky was not so clear. There was a tropical depression as i heard someone said.
That 3 people right there won't even moved from their bed when i wake them up. But look alive at last! Babyko, Me Dyo and Allanchu wandering the beach.

After this shot, me and my baby went for a mountain hike. P100pesos/hour. The target was to reached the highest part of BORA and get the overview of the entire island.
Too bad was Dyo can't go on further. Me and My Baby continued, we reached the station 1 and we already passed on two mountain roads. I was too excited to reached the top of Bora but apparently, am to tired and can't pedal anymore. Can't go on any further, so we decided to returned back. It was a nice exercise anyway. Better we rent the motorbike next time. hahaha!!
Brother and Sister a Walk in BORA. My Brother who really is having a very great time. Hahaha!! I can still imagine his face begging to let him come with us. "You will be needing a photographer" one of his convincing lines.:-))
This was shot while we are preparing for island hopping. Our 2nd activity for the day after biking.

But before that we had first our breakfast with this restaurant, a terrible one. I wish can remember the name of the resto to warn you:-) Its a long story but i tell you it was a very worst service we ever encountered.

Forget about that resto anyway. Just after a few minutes, we do not want to waste any more time, so we went to island hopping. The waves are pretty rough that morning. The boatmen told us that we cannot go to other islands with that waves. Soooo sad:-( There are 5 islands according to them that we can dock on. Really too bad that we did not able to explore the caves and nice spots for snorkling and other attractions in that islands.
PUKA BEACH supposedly was one of our destinations. This is the SECOND longest beach in the island. Puka Beach is named after the RARE Puka Shell which according to the experts as the finest in the world.
Without a choice, we went to snorkling just around the one island near the White Beach. Allanchu, Baby, Me, and my Bro Ronnel. Having fun with the water. I can't describe exactly what was under. Just amazed with the variety of colorful fishes under.
Other than the water we also enjoyed the buko. There was this vending bangka just around the water area. Sarappp..
Almost Noon. Boatmen took us to this resort named Nami. There was where we had our lunch. This resort is actually just in the other side of White Beach. Going there, we start waving excitedly to everyone we meet along the way, yes people we don't even know. And people waving back at us:-) I don't know waht with this island that makes everyone so warm and friendly.
After our lunch, we headback to WhiteBeach. Because of the rough waves that afternoon. Water activities was suspended for a while. So we decided to wash first and stroll the other side of the island until water activity resume. Believed it or not, there is a bowling lane on the island. Just that it is not yet computerized and a man is the one actually putting back the pins and rolling over back the balls manually. I tell you kawawa yung mama samin...hahaha!! Naawa ako promise kc i feel the man was getting tired already:-) We finished 3 games.
We also went to the back of the island. We found out that it is the Windsailing and Wind Surfing Station and all other air activities since it is the part of the BORA island that is open sea. It is called Bulabog Beach. It is also where Boracay Rock is situated.
Water activities resumed late in the afternoon. Had so much fun with the jetski. It was my first time to drive one and it was really awesome! This was our last water activity for our last day in BORA. That 2 HOT Men above!? Ohh they were my dates to this Island BORACAY!! *LOL*
That night we decided to have a buffet. Dinner was superb. After the tiring day, the food buffet was a big treat for us. This was our last night, before we knew it our two day vacation were done. There were so much to do in so little time. This is probably the reason why this Island hold a spell for many people.
I waked up the next day with a heavy heart. I shall always love walking by the shore, digging my toes and my feet on the sugar-fine white sand. There is so much you to do with this island. So small yet so rich. The thousand posibilities of this Island makes you want go here again and again and me and my husband are no exception. BE RIGHT BACK BORA!

Affirmative ako sa sinabi mo BABY... Talagang an event to remember ang boracay, parang nasa ibang bansa ka.... sa ganda.... sa linis.... at sa hospitality ng mga tao dun..... talagang dito mo makakalimutan ang boracay trip natin. Actually I really enjoy boracay in fact this is one of my most enjoyable trip. But kulang tayo sa oras at money. Someday babalik tayo dyan na talagang prepared tayo (money and time) para mas sulit ang pagpunta natin ulit dun. Bro. Allan and Sis Jho mag ipon na tayo para sa pag balik natin dun

to mickey,

hi! sooo sorry...grabe hindi ko kc navisit ang blog ko after dec holidays. even more i didnt expect na may mgcomment sa last posts ko. i think my reply is too late. anyways hope u r still in the country or more so, got the chance to visit bora even i didnt reply. if not yet, sana sa susunod niyong balik makapunta kayo.

well, diko alam kung mas mura sa PUKA Beach but if ur palanning to go i would suggest you go to White Beach. We stayed in station 2 for 2days and two nights. We spent only P16,000. That was already for 3 persons. my husband, my bro and I. Pumunta kami Nov so it was not peak season yet, big factor din na nakatipid kmi ng malaki na nagferry lang kami kesa plane papunta and pabalik.

sorry talaga for the late reply. sana nakasagot ako ng maaga.:-(
